Ecologist Robbie

Join us for a guided walk at dusk to discover the nocturnal residents on the estate including varieties of bats, owls and beautiful moths. Boconnoc comes alive at night, with owls silently drifting through the night sky. We hope to hear tawny owls and possibly barn owls as we walk round and we will see and listen for some of the bats coming out from the woods and buildings to feed using a bat detector.

The walk will be guided by ecologist Robbie Phillips and begin after a BBQ in the Stable yard with a glass of wine or soft drink around the fire pit. As well as his bat detector Robbie will also set up a moth trap (harmless to moths) which we will look at when we finish the walk, giving everyone the chance to see some of the beautiful moth species rarely seen. In the UK there are over 2500 moths species.

Tickets are £26 per person.
