“Earthbound is Milo and Rory a team of growers, producers and chefs aiming to provide our community with healthy produce whilst enriching the landscape. In order to promote their values and bring people together they host dinners, workshops and events. They are always excited about sharing their passion for food, farming and people.
On their farm Earthbound they are operating a small market garden of about half an acre, with room to expand season to season. They are growing a range of delicious fruits and vegetables which they will sell directly from the farm as well as supplying local village shop, pub and school.
Milo and Rory are propagating and keeping seeds from plants that perform the best to ensure strength and resilience in future crops. By feeding the soil with manure from neighbouring stables and “worm juice” from their wormery as well using a variety of mulching materials they are keeping the soil rich and abundant with life.”
Ethical Boconnoc venison will be served at this event.
Fallow deer have roamed the Boconnoc deer park since the 17th Century and are an important part of the history of the estate.
Today the herd are managed by our Deer Ranger and Environmental Consultant Ian Berry.
Once considered to be the preserve of the rich, the meat is now readily available at affordable prices for all to enjoy and is one of the most sustainable meats that you can buy.
Using our own venison for events and weddings means zero food miles and helps us to tread more lightly on the earth.
The UK has extremely high standards in relation to deer management, as well as legal protections which ensures that our deer are humanely culled.
