“I absolutely love teaching and I endeavour to make my classes accessible to everyone regardless of their flexibility (contrary to popular belief, you really don’t need to be flexible to do yoga), age (my youngest student is 13 and my oldest is 94!) or body size/shape. Yoga isn’t interested in such things. Yoga is about bringing the mind to a peaceful state and accepting ourselves as we are. I am passionate that anyone who walks into my classes will leave feeling good about themselves and NOT that they are ‘no good at yoga’ (this was my own experience of my first class many years ago, and it took me a long time to ever go to a group class again).
Classes are fun and there is no need to be flexible to join in. I teach alignment focused vinyasa flow sequences, connecting to the breath as we move to unite body, breath and mind. Everyone is different so modifications are always offered and I love to use props in my classes to help students find more comfort in the body. Classes always end with either meditation or a guided relaxation to leave you feeling blissed out!”
