Marketing and Communications Manager

This is a full time contract to create and deliver the marketing strategy for the estate focused on our five pillars – Health (human and environmental), Community, Education, Circular Economy and Connection.

We are a small, hands on team who support each other to live our values; being open and honest and fair in our actions. We challenge the business, ourselves and each other and reflect on what went well, what we can change and where we can improve. We want to keep things real, showing all aspects of the estate from the architecture and the ancient oak trees to the worms and soil. We aim to keep things simple and make sure we have time for playfulness within our roles. All of these things are work in progress and we are looking for like-minded people to join us on our journey.

The role will encompass the following areas:

  • Create and bring the marketing strategy to life
  • Monthly report analysis
  • Act as a brand ambassador
  • Marketing all aspects of the business
  • Create content
  • Social media – create strategy and write posts
  • Updating website
  • Work with the hospitality team to develop new events
  • Market research
  • Develop partnerships
  • Attract new wedding, stays, retreat business and increase return customers
  • Meet and talk to journalists

This role will require you to:

  • Bring the story of Boconnoc to life
  • Build the brand, locally and nationally
  • Build the database
  • Increase business with retreats, stays, weddings, events
  • Attend networking events
  • Run press events and campaigns

  • Salary is dependent on experience
  • 28 days holiday per year including bank holidays
  • Hours – 37.5 hours per week with overtime if required
  • Weekly circuits sessions

This position will be predominately based working from our office at Boconnoc. Blended/Hybrid working patterns will also be considered.
