Elizabeth and her late husband Anthony embarked on the ambitious 12 year renovation of Boconnoc House in 2002. One December evening Anthony stopped the car at the top of the drive and shone the lights on the dilapidated Boconnoc House, “One day we will have electricity in the house”. To this day she is still delighted each time the lights come on. Elizabeth continues to run Boconnoc House and the Estate with her two daughters Clare and Sarah. Elizabeth always says this is a house that says, “If you take care of me, I’ll take care of you.”
Elizabeth is passionate about trees and gardens and has a love of the history of the estate.
Clare’s passion for Boconnoc, its history, surroundings and the Boconnoc Community is evident in the part she has played in making Boconnoc what it is today. Deeply rooted in Cornwall and the natural beauty it offers, she is committed to preserving the environment and the history of Boconnoc as well as promoting the philosophy of sustainability. Helping take Boconnoc into the future, her work in healthcare has given her an understanding of the profound impact that nature has on health and wellbeing.
Clare enjoys Yoga and meditation and exploring the coastline and hidden parts of Cornwall, and she sees Boconnoc as a place of restoration and renewal.
As an interior designer Sarah’s unique style and vision has brought the properties at Boconnoc to life. Taking inspiration from her time spent between Cornwall and Africa, her eclectic designs are full of vibrancy and colour which has been infused across the main house and cottages on the estate. Sarah has a love of travel, Africa and is inspired hugely by natures palette which is featured across many of her fabrics, wallpaper and interior design.
Sima is a vital cog in the Boconnoc machine that makes everything work day to day. A tireless perfectionist and consummate professional, she will leave no stone unturned to problem solve and ensuring the smooth running of the office.
Outside work she enjoys long dog walks, paddle boarding and her new found love for wood turning.

Coming from a background in hospitality and events, Grace is all about the detail and ensuring the smooth running of your day whether it be a weekend wedding, corporate event or a yoga retreat.
Whilst not dashing around the estate, Grace loves spending time with her friends and family and feline friend Trixie.
Lover of weddings, events and all things creative, Emma looks after the marketing at Boconnoc – from hashtags to photos shoots, to promoting events, writing our blog and much more; there is always something exciting to talk about.
Emma is also our resident foodie, when not eating out she can be found in the kitchen trying out the latest Ottolenghi recipe.

When not at Boconnoc Louise loves cooking, walking, wild swimming and a good glass of sauvignon blanc.
A breath of fresh air, Kay always ensures the extremely high standards we pride ourself in for keeping the house looking top notch. She guarantees that anyone who walks through the door is incredibly well looked after and that not one cushion is out of place. Her homemade cakes are second to none and her pasties – legendary.
In her spare time, Kay enjoys walking with friends and continuing her love of cooking at home.
Those immaculate lawns and perfectly pruned blooms don’t just manage themselves. Stuart our gardener and all round lovely chap, has an incredibly keen eye for all things green. The vast gardens and grounds require round the year careful management and care which is what Stuart achieves in abundance.
When not being green fingered, he loves walking his three pooches – a springer, cocker and sprocker.
Anything that is worth knowing about the estate, Will is your man. Having trained under the watchful eye of one of the estates longest serving members of staff, Will has certainly earned his stripes. He worked closely with Anthony Fortescue in the development and replanting of the woods as well as the clearance of rhododendron required to take the grounds back to its original state.
In his spare time Will loves nothing more than a game of cricket playing for our very own Boconnoc team, or spending time with his family.
Pam recently joined the team, bringing with her a wealth of experience in accounting. In her role Pam takes very good care of the purse strings. A stickler for precision and organisation, she has formed an integral part of the finance team.
Out of the office Pam is a very keen walker and enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
