Cooking over fire immersed in nature

Tucked away in a beautiful hidden valley at Boconnoc, surrounded by ancient trees you will find the historic saw mill. Due to its secluded location and peaceful setting, this felt like the perfect spot to build an outdoor kitchen for guests to use during their stay with us. Whether it be for a camping retreat, or family gatherings outdoors, it is the ideal place to embrace nature, set up camp and cook up a storm.

Outdoor cooking at Boconnoc

Cooking alfresco

After an enforced lockdown, we spent some time building spaces and creating experiences which we felt would help people reconnect, and enable them to enjoy all that Boconnoc has to offer safely. The new outdoor kitchen space benefits from complete stillness and a chance to really get into nature; the soundtrack to your visit will purely be the sound of the birds in the trees and the water from the stream. In the evening, cosy up by the outdoor fire and listen for the owls calling whilst gazing at the stars in the clear sky. The air quality at Boconnoc is so pure, so fill your lungs with fresh air and enjoy simple living at this natural retreat.

There is no wifi, no phone reception, you will be able to completely switch off. You will find a fridge, a water boiler, drinking water and some cooking equipment essentials which keep this space simple and easy to use. Just a stones throw from the outdoor kitchen we have a kitchen garden which you can use to pick your own produce. We can also recommend local farms and producers where you can buy ingredients to keep food miles low and quality high.
