A travelling bar like no other

In the lead up to our Open House Wedding Event we are taking a little peak behind the scenes at the people who create the magic. We will be hearing from a few of our recommended suppliers who will be there on the day to chat through any plans and help with any questions you have. Up next in our series of blogs we have the wonderful Buffalo Bar:

Tell us about you. What service do you provide to our lovely couples?

We are The Buffalo Bar, a 1964 Airstream bar and more than this, we are your liquid caterers. The Buffalo comes fully stocked with everything you’d expect from a great bar plus we specialise in fantastic cocktails and mocktails. We supply the ultimate welcome cocktails, table wine and toast drinks taking care of the entire drinks service so you don’t have to – maintaining quality and reducing stress! Nobody does a bar like we do a bar.

What is your favourite thing about working with couples at Boconnoc?

Boconnoc is such a beautiful and diverse space to create your perfect wedding experience and there are plenty of options to place The Buffalo. There isn’t a venue in Cornwall where we can fit in so many spaces creating a personal and unique bar area for your wedding day or even wedding weekend!

What is the best thing about working in the wedding industry?

The wedding industry in Cornwall is full of creative, friendly and collaborative companies who compliment and recommend each other so well. It’s a pleasure to be part of it!

Why do you think Cornwall is such a popular location for weddings?

Cornwall unleashes imagination, wildness and mystery. Very often couples come ‘home’ for their weddings, or have holidayed here as children and come to make a weekend or even week of reminiscing and immerse themselves in the beauty of Cornwall.

How long have you been in the wedding industry?

12 years, first as wedding photographers and now as bar owners having seen a need for a great mobile bar service. Why should you settle for warm flat drinks from a trestle table when you can have a high end bar on wheels?!

Tell us about the most memorable wedding you have worked at.

There have been so many! Free bars for 160 guests, fireworks, celebrities, jalapeño tequila shots for the bride and bridesmaids, silent discos and the bride working behind the bar! Every time we open our bar hatch, there is the most incredible view!

What is the most unusual/interesting request you have had from a couple?

120 espresso martinis served after dinner and tequila shots for the toasts instead of champagne!

What are your favourite trends for this year?

Our personal tip… passion fruit martinis.

The Buffalo Bar will be situated in the Stable Yard for our Open House Wedding Event, shaking up cocktail tasters (we’ve heard passion fruit martinis may be on the menu!) Saturday 2nd March 2019, 10am – 3pm. We hope to see you there!
